FRAGMENTS OF A YES
A Docufilm by Baccanti
Durata: 13 min | Genere: Independent / Avant-garde / Erotic Noir | Anno: 2026
A room suspended in darkness, the crimson glow of a lamp, and an intimate confession that retraces a year of whispered desires. Fragments of a Yes is a nocturnal journey into the labyrinth of consent and shared desires. Through a fragmented edit and a chiaroscuro gaze, the film strips the explicit of any commercial dimension, returning the bodies to the poetry of the shadow and the sacredness of a secret, authentic ritual.
The Diary of Resistance
"Fragments of a Yes" is neither fiction nor a descriptive documentary. It is an intimate visual diary that traces a borderline: the genesis of a journey that begins within the world of swinging, traverses the psychological evolution of a couple, and arrives at the creation of a shared visual imagination.
At the core of the film lies the deconstruction of the male gaze. While the opening retraces a year of persistent requests and whispered desires from the man, the short film’s development completely subverts the balance of power. It is the woman who holds the keys to the game: it is her gaze that filters every face, every interaction with potential partners, and every access to intimacy.
The Aesthetic of Chiaroscuro against Digital Asphyxiation In an era where the digital body is exposed under flat, aseptic, and commodified lighting, Fragments of a Yes chooses darkness as a space of protection and sacredness. Working with a fragmented edit—composed of brief visual shards alternating with chromatic stasis and sonic suspensions—we sought to rescue the flesh from commercial squalor. The deep red and dense shadows do not hide; they transfigure, returning the bodies to their poetic, ritualistic, and profoundly authentic dimension.
